IdeCAD Modeling Guide
In IdeCAD, the regions where VOLIMAX formworks will be used must be defined as a separate slab, and the mechanical properties of this slab must be changed according to the equivalent section properties determined for the voided slab.
Key points:
- Define the voided slab regions as a separate slab type.
- Modify the slab mechanical properties using the equivalent section coefficients (area, volume and moment of inertia multipliers).
- Punching zones (shown in orange on the sample floor plan) must be modeled as full slab.
- For these zones, use the program defaults for the selected concrete grade (e.g. C30).
- Run the analysis and verify deflections and punching checks.
